Re: does D3D of VB support intel mobile 4 series graphics card?
VirtualBox does not support any graphics cards, it instead provides a kind of passthrough between the guest and the DirectX API implemented on the host. It no more needs to know the details of your graphics card than any other application that talks to the DirectX API.
Does running DxDiag on the host work ok?

Re: does D3D of VB support intel mobile 4 series graphics card?
yes, dxdiag works perfect fine on my host.
please see below: I picked some dxdiag information.
But, I never succeeded in making D3D of VB working on my guest (windows xp or windows 2003 server).
I installed D3D feature of VB in safemode. I enabled 3D acceleration of VB.
it makes no difference: dxdiag crashes!
