Hi all!
I can't get iPhone to sync on VBox 3.0.12. I use Gentoo with kernel 2.6.31 as host and WinXP SP2 as a guest OS. I have read a lot of posts regarding USB filters, screen resolutions, kernel patches and other solutions that did not work for me.
My problem is that when I start the sync, iPhone receives just a little part of the song and the the transfer stalls there forever until the iPhone is ejected from iTunes and an error regarding missing iPhone appears. Funny enough, the iPhone will be on sync forever until I cancel the sync on the iPhone side.
I have been only able to transfer 2 songs (one at a time) on several reboots and 800x600 screen resolution.
What I have noticed is that as soon as the sync starts, the system reads the iPhone instead of writing it (green dot on USB icon on the VM instead of red) while the 2 times that it did work, the little dot was red.
I seriously do not know what else to do to make iPhone sync with VBox, any help is more than appretiated. If you need me to post more precise info, just let me know.
