I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I installed the latest VirtualBox and setup Ubuntu 9.10 as a guest. I set up a USB filter for my printer but Ubuntu does not find a printer. Have done a lot of searching around, but everone seems to assume you have Ubuntu as the host.
How do you get USB printing to work from an Ubuntu guest?

Share the printer via Network.

Re: USB Printing
The printer is shared. Ubutnu doesn't see it. It says check my firewall settings, but the firewall is not turned on.stefan.becker wrote:Share the printer via Network.

Re: [SOLVED] USB Printing
Rebooted the computer, attached printer, Ubuntu found the printer and printed a test page. This was done without adding a filter and with no networking involved.
