vb version: 3.1.2r56127
Host: XP SP3
Guests: w2k, xp sp3

The serial port is not working in this version of vb (all guest additions are updated also).

I have had the same machines in vb version 3.0.10, there it was running without any problems.

The log says, everyting is ok but I have no serial port in the hardware config for guests.

Solved.

After my update from 3.0.8 to 3.1.2 was "Enable IO APIC" disabled.

The vmwaregateway is now working with all guest systems.
