When launching VB I'm getting the following error:

Code: Select all

22/12/09 01:11:45	[0x0-0x3a03a].org.virtualbox.app.VirtualBox[1253]	VirtualBox: supR3HardenedVerifyDir: Cannot trust the directory "/Applications/VirtualBox.app/Contents/MacOS": group and/or other writable (st_mode=040775)
22/12/09 01:11:45	com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[954]	([0x0-0x3a03a].org.virtualbox.app.VirtualBox[1253]) Exited with exit code: 1
I repaired the permissions but the problem persists.

Anything else I could try?

How did you install 3.1.2? Did you first uninstall the previous version with the Terminal uninstaller or not?

Works on 2 Macs running 10.6.2 over here.
I simply installed VBox 3.1.2 over a previous 3.1.0 without deinstalling it.

I installed 3.1.2 over 3.0.12. VB opened up no problem. When I launched Windows 7 I got an error message with the offer that Windows could correct the errors. Ran the correction program and everything works fine.
