Fedora 12 x86-64 Desktop Effects crashes VM

I'm having a really weird issue, and hopefully you all can give me ideas on how to fix it.
Whenever I try to run Desktop Effects, the VM just crashes, no log is recorded or anything. I am running Fedora 12 x86-64.
Settings are:
General
Name: Fedora 12
OS Type: Fedora (64 bit)
System
Base Memory: 1024 MB
Processor(s): 2
Boot Order: Hard Disk, CD/DVD-ROM
VT-x/AMD-V: Enabled
Nested Paging: Disabled
?
Display
Video Memory: 64 MB
3D Acceleration: Enabled
2D Video Acceleration: Disabled
Storage
IDE Controller
IDE Primary Master: Fedora 12.vdi (Normal, 8.00 GB)

1) System > Preferences > Desktop Effects
