Lose network access after Adobe C3 install
Posted: 18. Dec 2009, 03:35
Running Ubuntu 9.10 x64 host and Windows 7 x32 under Virtualbox 3.1.0 PUEL. On a Sony Vaio FW-490 laptop.
I installed Guest Additions and then Firefox, and network access was fine. Next, I installed Adobe CS3 Premium, without any issues. I rebooted, and then ran Photoshop in order to activate CS3. The activation failed as it could not gain network access! I looked at the network at it says "No internet access". Running Windows Network Diagnostics it says that there is no problem. I can ping the host, but cannot seem to ping any other IP.
I'm at a loss as to how the networking can be affected by installing Adobe Cs3.
Virtualbox network is default setting NAT (Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop), I have setup 1 GB RAM, 128 MB video memory, enabled 3D and 2D acceleration, and VT-x enabled.
Any ideas?
