Installing DX 9 for Win 2000 Crashes VB or OS doesnt load

Every time I try to install Direct X 9 in Windows 2000 in Virtual Box it either crashes "Virtualbox GUI has stopped working" or it will just stop on the windows 2000 start up screen. Ive already tried reinstalling windows 2000 but the same thing happens every time.

You can not install Directx in the Windows guest. You need to install the guest additions in safe mode.

I already install Guest Additions, I need Direct X for some Dx9 Games
