Dear VirtualBox community,
I was messing around with some settings and I managed to detach something from my VM. I have not lost a lot of work. How to I reattach the deattached part?
Please see images below to see what I mean.

Re: Detached problem
I don't think you have a problem. "Not attached" for the middle disk just means that this VDI is not currently being used directly by any VM, and I wouldn't expect it to be, since I imagine you are using the third one. Does any VM show signs of having lost any data?

Re: Detached problem
Yes, I have lost data. I am sure it is going to be in the detached image.

Re: Detached problem
Do you have snapshots in a branched tree? (VirtualBox version 3.1.x), or two VMs based on a shared base VDI? (VirtualBox versions 3.1.x or 3.0.x)
Is CentOS 5.4.vdi an Immutable VDI? And if yes, are the child {hexUUID} VDIs Auto-Reset or not? (If you don't know, then no bother: the answers are then certain to be: No and No.)
Or please provide more info about what snapshots you do or did have etc.
Perhaps try this:
Important: BACKUP first, to avoid loosing any data.
Change the VDI attached to the VM with the Settings>Hard Disks (or Settings>Media something or other in 3.1.x).
Select the 'Show Differencing disks' checkbox, and select the {0c44...}.vdi file in the dropdown listbox (replacing whatever was there).
