I was wondering how to add hard drive space to my virtual box OS. Ive already tried to click on storage but that doesn't allow you to change the hard drive space. And yes when making the virtual box i picked hard expanding storage.
thank you

Re: Add space to hard drive on virtual box
When you chose "Expanding disk" you also had to choose a maximum size disk, for example 80GB. Like when a read hard disk has filled up, you will need to create a new hard disk (like buying one in reall life) and clone the old disk.
For example. I had a 20GB virtual hard disk which filled up in no time. I therefore had to create another drive, this time 160GB and clone the old disk to the new. I used CloneZilla with a switch to make the partition fill the whole disk, but you can use CloneHD (I think, search the forum) to do this. I've not used it though.
Short answer: AFAIK, you cannot increase the size of an existing disk.

Re: Add space to hard drive on virtual box
You have primary OS "Other" - so I don't know what host you have, though you also say that your VBox version is "OSE Debian", so I assume you have a Linux host.
You can use my CloneVDI tool to increase the maximum size of VDI files. This tool is intended to run on Windows hosts, but it can also be used on Linux hosts under Wine, it is even possible to run it inside your XP VM with access to the VDIs in a shared folder.
