If virtualbox and its vm's can be managed through CLI, can I then start a vm from commandline without having to start a graphical session ??
If my server boots up in init 3, can a VirtualBox vm be started ??
I could ssh into the VirtualBox server and start the vm manually. If my vm has no GUI or if it is manageable through a webGUI (like ClarkConnect or Endian firewall) then I don't need a graphical session (like Gnome) on my VirtualBox-server.
This would spare some memory-use on the host.
Start VirtualBox vm without starting Gnome

Yes. See section 'VBoxHeadless, the VRDP-only server' in the user manual (section 7).jonaskellens wrote:If virtualbox and its vm's can be managed through CLI, can I then start a vm from commandline without having to start a graphical session?
