Xubuntu 10.04 Alpha 1... Wow, no sound issues

if anyone cares, the alphas of Ubuntu 10.04 seem to work well with VB. The only issue since there is no longer HAL in them, the cursor control in guest additions doesn't work. full screen etc does however. The thing I am most happy with is, I no longer have to restart the guest 1-4 times to get audio at the correct sampling rate as I do with Ubuntu 9.10s

ok, I was wrong, like every ubuntu based distribution since 9.10, the audio remains a problem. One still often has to restart the guest a number of times till the sound is at the correct sampling rate. otherwise it sounds slow. I know it's the Mac version of VirtualBox because VMware Fusion never has the sound issue, it's always at the correct rate.

I have to agree. I have an iMac with 10.5.8 and Windows 7 RC in BootCamp. The audio works just fine when running VB in Windows, but drags in VB for the Mac. This is a royal pain and it would be great if Sun could fix it. I am using Ubuntu 10.04. The mouse integration does not work with Mac or Windows, and the scroll wheel moves the pointer around on the Mac side.
