When I launch VBox (PUEL on Karmic (Ubuntu) with an XP guest at Service Pack 2 level) the settings button is greyed out and I can't change the settings?
I also have a problem with shared folders which I set up using the shared folders tool, pointing to various locations on my host machine, but which do not seem visible anywhere within the XP guest? I did, as suggested, change my explorer view to 'classic folders' but..?
Any help appreciated! I need urgently to access files on the Linux host and manipulate and then print them on devices only usable in XP!
Ta!
Settings greyed out in VBox also no shared folders visible..

Have you installed the guest additions (in the guest)?
