Ok I'm a noob to virtual box I'm using Linux Mint 7 as my main OS and windows xp in a virtual box. My question is how to mount a usb drive in windows virtual box. I've tried device>usb device>says no available devices, also before I start windows checked details and no usb drive was available to click on, but they have a floppy drive. What? floppy drive who still uses that.
So How to mount usb drive in windows xp virtual box 2.1.4

Re: Virtual 2.1.4
You must use the newest version 3.10 from the Homepage. Repo Versions are OSE and without USB.

Filesystem of the external HD? Not known in the Guest? Or are the entries gray?
PS: Another way is to use Shared Folders.

Re: Virtual 2.1.4
OK. You can check the Forum FAQ for USB Tipps. Probably the group problem (vboxusers).
