newbie questions
I am very new to VB. Although I have attempted to read the User Manual to get answers, I don't understand what the Vbox version is. My first question is I have just purchased a new computer running 64 bit Vista soon to be upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium. Several of my peripherals will not install since they do not have 64 bit device drivers. If I install XP in a virtual box, will I be able to install the 32 bit devices? Do I need to make sure that 32 bit XP is installed? Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. I have worked with computers since 1985 but am totally self taught and I do not have any book knowledge.

Re: newbie questions
It depends on what type of peripherals you are talking about. You need to give us more details.
If they are USB, they might work. Otherwise, no.
But your profile indicates that you are using the OSE version of VB, which does not support USB.

Re: newbie questions
I haven't even installed VB yet. What version do you suggest and where do I find that particular version? I have a HP 5300 scanjet that is USB and two old but unique printers that are parallel. But I now have parallel to USB cables since my new computer doesn't offer a parallel port.

Re: newbie questions
Try the PUEL-Version from the VBOX Homepage.
No one can say if it works. Try it, doesnt cost anything except your time.
As said before: USB may work.
