NT OK to run with SP4?

I am running NT with service pack1 as a guest on XP and
cannot load guest additions. I have read that I need SP6
which I cannot find on the web to download.
I have service pack 4 that I can load to update the NT.
Am I OK running service pack 4 inside Virtualbox or should
I wait until I find a copy of SP6a?

Hi,
According to me,you should wait for the SP6.In this services of the windows you should easily resolve your problem.

I assume by "NT" you really mean NT4.
The file you need to download is "sp6i386.exe", perhaps if you google for that you may find the file still hosted on some mirror site.
I think that file is a self unpacking ISO - certainly I was able to do an NT4 installation in VBox a few months ago (I wanted to be able to test a tool of mine on a really old NTFS installation), and bring it up to SP6a level - and I still have the ISO which I believe that .exe file unpacks into.

No, it is not a self-unpacking ISO. I still have a copy of the Windows NT 4 SP6a installation file on my hard disk. Run the file under Windows NT 4.0 and it will decompress and runs the service pack setup. No ISO file was created.

Ah - in that case, perhaps I created the ISO myself so I could mount it (containing the .exe) inside the NT4 VM. That is quite possible.
