can you run open solaris on virtual box ?

hi am wanting to know if i can run open solaris on virtual box using the mac version i've already downloaded virtual box. and the solaris iso for x86. now do i need to burn the iso to a cd or dvd in order to use or can i leave it on my drive and use it that way.?

Yes you can, you can use the ISO.
