Virtualbox :Interal DHCP server & Pfsense DHCP: ip issue

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well. I have just started to use Virtualbox and I am just blown away by how brilliant it is.
I do have a problem and I was wondering if anyone has come across the same or can help.

Host : Ubuntu 9.10
Virtual Box 3.1.0

Guests
----------------BRIDGE NETWORK-------->pfsense-------------Host Only--------->xubuntu 9.10 Desktop (and in the future other guests)
Bridge network assigns an IP address from my router : PASS
PFSense is set to DHCP so SHOULD dish out ip addresses in a specific subnet to xubuntu 9.10

Xubuntu was getting its ip addresses from a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SUBNET (DHCP SERVER IN VirtualBox :( SO i disabled it! :) )
Xubuntu still cannot get an automatic ipaddress from pfsense when set the only nic to Host Only VMNET1.
I have tested pfsense as well as i can and quite certain that is working.

Any ideas from anyone on how to resolve this issue. Vmware Workstation/Server this set up works perfectly but in Virtual box the same setup does not work.

Thanks again for your time

Works perfectly it seems that when trying to set up Guests on a HP 6710b and using the Network card as PCNet III does not work.
I repeated the tests again and went for the Intel Pro/1000 MT on all my Nics and everything worked perfectly!

Is there anyway i can grab logs etc of how and where my guest gets their ip address from or if the nic i assigned to a guest is not working?
i would of liked to of been able to solve this problem from looking at some logs nad seeing the Nics assigned to my guests etc did not work as opposed of trial and error?

Thanks
