Reinstalling Host OS

Post by brochs »

Hi,

I'm new to VB and are using VMW Workstation at the moment. Here is a scenario:

I keep all my guest OS on a seperat partition, and after going from Vista to Windows 7 where I did a format of c: and reinstalled Windows 7, then i reinstalled VMW Workstation and it was just to open my existing guest OS'es without export/import. I have not been able to find a way to do this in VB. Am I missing something?

Backup the .VirtualBox folder in your profile directory, reinstall the system and restore that folder when done.
