Intel Duo laptop, Windows XP64 host, Windows XP32 guest. Issues:
1. I don't want the Windows firewall running in the VM. So I have set it up to not to be monitored by Windows. Nevertheless each time I start the VM the firewall is On.
2. Similarly I turned off Automatic Updates, yet each time when I start the VM I get a warning to turn them on. Any way to stop that?
3. Even though I turned Autoplay and drive action prompting off, each time I attach the USB drive in the VM Autoplay comes one, does a slow search of the drive and prompts me for action.
Any way to stop that?
Thanks.

These are typical windows issues and not vbox related, how to use a Guest is beyond the scope of this forum.

Well, I do not have these issues with the regular installation of Windows.
They only occur when I install in a VM.
That's why I posted them here.

VM settings? using immutable disk? reverting to a snapshot?

Re: Issues with xp64 host xp32 guest
I could not figure out what was causing this.
Anyway, I restored the previous install from a backup and the problems went away.
I wonder if it has something to do with the new version which I was using when I got the problem.
Where can I find the changes in the new version so that I can check if it's worth updating?
