quick question re virtual box on 64-bit systems

Post by stefankr »

Hello, I am planning to upgrade my 32-bit win XP system to 64-bit win 7. Until now I have successfully used virtual box with a 32-bit win XP guest.

Now I am wondering if I will be able to use my 32-bit win XP guest if the new host is a 64-bit win 7, or am I asking for trouble here ? Should the guest be a 64-bit system as well ?

If anyone could help me I'd really appreciate. Thanks in advance !

Host doesn't really matter if the Guest is 32 bit.

I'm running the exact same combination as a replacement for the MS XPMode, which didn't work properly on my system. And it runs very nicely (hooray for the seamless mode :-))
