windows server fax

Hi,
after many test i can say virtualbox have many problems with serial port and usb port. This ports are not stable.
The serial port with an analog modem loss data or syncro and can't receive fax.
The usb ports can be used for usb pen drive (some times the system operator stop to working), but with a usb analog modem the port is always closed and can't be open it.
From 2.X to 3.0.12 the problem is not solved.

There is a solution?
Can be used a guest windows for receive fax? Or i must use fax on linux because virtualbox is not stable in professional jobs?

My system is:
host: Ubuntu 64 9.04
Virtualbox 3.0.12
guest: windows 2003 server

I've re-test fax width 3.0.12 and serial port, fax can be send and receive without problems.
