Host Os : Window Xp Pro SP3
Gust Os : Windows Server 2003 - no updates yet
main network connection : Wireless
Wireless Card : Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN
2nd network connection : Lan
Lan Network Card : Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection
So I have look all over the place trying to get the gust os to connect to my router and have its own ip. What i am getting from the guides and other information i'm finding its only for lan type connections. What i need is to have the gust os to beable to be seen in a network/use Remote desktop so i can do my server 2003 labs at school. If some one could help that be great.

If you have a network with a router, you are on a LAN, so a LAN type solution is what you need.
As vbox4me2 pointed out, bridged mode to the LAN NIC is what you want. It will make you vm look like another machine on the LAN, and it should get its network config from the DHCP server on your network, just as the host machine does.

And it doesn't matter if you connect to the router through LAN or WLAN, both work, as long as you set it in the VM.
