Only this one Linux machine manifest this problem. After creating a new instance... the machine starts okay. Guest additions installs okay. Restart the machine and the following Problem signature dialog appears:

Solved: the clue was the ig4icd32.dll. Sorry I only picked this up after looking at this error dialog again. Win 7 did a update of the Intel Graphics Accelerator drivers. Removed this particular update and problem solved. I'd rather have VBox running than up to date Intel drivers!!!
