Hello,
I have installed virtualbox 3.0.10 on a new windows 7, 64 bit laptop. The guest is windows xp. I have installed a belkin f5u409 usb to serial adapter in XP. This device does not show up in device manager all the time. i cannot get it to consistently be active. when it is, it shows as comm 3. does anyone have any experience with flaky usb devices?
thanks in advance

Re: intermittent usb device
Same here.
Tried a simple usage, boot a XBMC-Live (Xbox Media Center) .ISO image (Ubuntu based) to generate a USB Flash drive boot.
If I start the VM with USB support, the ENTIRE laptop freezes (host included).
I have a Dell Latitude D530, 4 GB RAM, Windows 7 Professional, 64-bits.
