Seperate IP addresses
How is it possible to have a seperate IP address for each virtual computer running simultaneously? I want this not just for web browsing and such so a HTTP proxy is of no use. I have heard people say multiple static IP addresses are a solution or a VPN. Could anyone explain to me how these work, the cost involved, or how this is possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, read section 6 of the user manual. Likely you need to select 'Bridged networking' (section 6.5). Each VM will then get its own IP the same way as any real live PC would on your LAN: DHCP or static addresses.

Re: Seperate IP addresses
It is not only possible, it is essential. As far as the networking software is concerned, every NIC in a machine, physical or virtual, is unique. It has its own MAC address and therefore needs it own IP address.
The traffic addressed to a virtual machine is not seen by the IP stack of the host machine. With bridged networking, traffic is split off at a low level by the VirtualBox Bridged Network Driver working with the NIC driver.
