BSOD on Vista... possibly USB problem?

Post by Cybion »

alright so I'm running, or at least trying to run, Windows XP in virtualbox with a windows vista host. I have ran CERN Scientific Linux (based off red hat) and Ubuntu both on VB and had no problems at all. When I first got Windows XP up and running in VB everything was fine, ran smooth, no problems. then comes the point in time I'm trying to use a USB webcam. so I shut down the machine and I activate the USB I flip it back on and it goes through normally. I see the dialog pop up saying it recognized the cam and boom vista BSODs on me. wont stop happening unless I stop the USB completely. then XP will run fine....

all in all vista BSODs. prolly USB. the hell am I doing wrong?
