I've been using VirtualBox on a Windows host for a long time.
Ubuntu 9.04 Guest worked perfectly on Win 7 x64 Host with Guest Additions and 3D effects enabled. (VB 3.0.10)
However Ubuntu 9.10 Guest is a having major issues on a Win 7 x64 Host.
If 3D Graphics are enabled, there's a major lag. Some things like wobbly windows work fine, however simple things such as typing is a pain. After typing a few letters there's a few second delay before it appears. If you backspace or are typing quickly, you'll have no way to know what's going on until you wait a while for everything to refresh. Even menus take a few seconds to fade in then fade out. This was not at all an issue on Ubuntu 9.04 with the VirtualBox version prior to 3.0.10.
If I disable 3D effects, it becomes quick and snappy again.
