I have been attempting to install a copy of Windows 7 on a virtual pc. I have been unsuccessful because I keep getting a error saying the Operating system that im running isn't 64 bit. I know for a fact im running Vista 64 bit currently. In need of assistance.
The .iso i'm using is"
en_windows_7_professional_x64_dvd_X15-65805.iso

You need to turn hardware-v on in the bios.

You need to consult your owners manual about the proper procedure on how to turn on hardware virtualization and how to get into your bios to do this.
Most motherboard companies have this information on line as well as the companies that make the units if you don't have your manual.
