Help! Upgrade Broke my VM
Posted: 8. Nov 2009, 03:58
I just tried to upgrade from 2.2.4 to 3.0.10 and now my VM won't start.
I am using a Windows XP host with an Ubutntu 8.04 guest.
I first uninstalled the old version of virtualbox, then installed the new version.
The old version (2.2.4) was installed in the default C:\Program Files\Sun\xVM VirtualBox
The new version (3.0.10) is installed to the new default C:\Program Files\Sun\VirtualBox
When I try to start the virtual machine it displays an error dialog saying:
"
Failed to start the virtual machine Ubuntu 8.04.1.
Medium 'C:\PROGRA~1\Sun\XVMVIR~1\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso' is not accessible. Could not access the image file 'C:\PROGRA~1\Sun\XVMVIR~1\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso' (VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND).
"
I can post the expanded detail information if it will help.
Suggestions on how to get this running again?
