SQL Server Install Failure with Multiple CPUs

Has anyone tried to install Microsoft SQL Server on a guest with multiple CPUs enabled?
For me it fails consistently: http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/5422
I'm beginning to feel that the guest SMP support is immature or VB is not typically used for WIndows based guests. It seems very unstable.
Thoughts?
