I am running VirtualBox on Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) as host and XP as a Virtual Guest.
I can successfully install Paltalk , goto chat rooms , listen to conversations.
But when i want to speak , they don't hear me. I clearly see that mic is getting my voice signal.
I have Realtech HD Onboard and Linux uses PulseAudio as the driver and not ALSA.
So my mic works , but it does not go out from the Virtual Box guest.
Do you guys have the same issue , How can i get my mic to work in this case ?

Re: Paltalk mic issue - Windows XP Guest running on Ubuntu 9.10
I managed to fix the issue by changing the host audio driver on the VirtualBox GUI from PulseAudio driver to Alsa Driver.
Then Mic began to work ,
But when i switch back to PulseAudio Driver again mic did not work on Guest OS.
But Mic on Pulse Audio driver works on Host system when using skype and gtk-recordmydesktop.
So i guess there is a problem (Bug) of VirtualBox receiving the pulseaudio mic signal into the guest.
Guys please look into this issue,
cheers
