Unable to install Vista SP2 in guest

I have a Vista 64-bit SP1 (the install ISO I used to install Vista 64-bit came with SP1 integrated) guest VM that just won't install Service Pack 2. If I installed the 32-bit version, I can't install SP1. So in the end, I can't install any Service Packs into my Vista vm. Any ideas?

Any errors we can work with?

Nope, just "Service pack installed unsucessfully"

In that case you need to look at Microsoft, not VB. Service Packs can fail to install on normal systems too. This is outside the scope of this forum.

Even though this only happens in VB and never on any of my physical systems and after multiple complete reinstalls in VB?

Yes, even then. You may not have it on your bare metal, but your neighbour might. Or your friend, cousin, whoever. It's nothing we can do with this little information. Event logs should tell you at least something. Google that.
