While trying to install virtualbox on vista starter it stops without installing. What may be the reason? Or is there anyone who experienced the same?

There might be some features needed that are not available in Vista Starter. That's about the only reason I can think of why it won't install. Are you sure you right clicked the installer file and selected "Run as Administrator"?

Actually, i exactly did that "right clicked the installer file and selected "Run as Administrator". But it ended with error "Unable to install MSI, Error 1601".

Problem solved. Seemed that PCTools Threatfire or Comodo Firewall blocked the process. When i disabled both, i managed to install virtualbox at last. Thanks for the responses.
