VirtualBox Blue Screens Host System

Post by ArizEagle »

I currently have VB v3.0.10 and am having difficulties when I attach a USB device. When I attempt to attach any device the host system blue screens and freezes. I have tried the new updates but they did not fix the problem and I have even tried uninstalling Virtual Box and reinstalling the program and still no change. I am currently running 3 VM's, 2 Ubuntu and 1 Win XP, on Windows Vista. All three VM's provide with the same result leading for me to believe it is the VB program. Multiple USB devices have been tried and still the same result for all. The interesting thing is, prior to the last 3 updates I did not have this issue. Can someone please help me or direct me to where I can retrieve older versions?

I have the same problem with 3.0.10. Blue screens on USB device connection and sometimes it gets the initial connection, but blue screens on the re-connection of the device.

I had blue screens with 3.0.8 also, but they were when I started some Ubuntu VM's.

Never saw any fix for the issues with 3.0.8, and was hoping 3.0.10 would be the fix. It does seem to fix the issues I had with 3.0.8, but the blue screens on USB connect are a deal breaker too.

I have reinstalled 3.0.6 as at least it works. Here is where to get older versions.
