Virtual Box network adapter gone after botched upgrade

Post by srhoades »

I tried to upgraded form 3.0.08 to 3.0.10 and the install hung so I had to kill it. After that I couldn't do anything. Tried repair, uninstall and finally had to remove Virtual Box using the Microsoft MSI cleanup utility. I was then able to reinstall 3.0.10 and my virtual machine works but I have no virtual box network adapter. Any idea on how to correct this?

Well I fixed it. When I reinstalled from scratch I used 3.0.10. I went ahead and uninstalled that and then installed 3.0.8, this brought the VirtualBox host based network adapter back.
