Ok, Can I hide the Guest GUI when I dont need to see it ?
LIke firing up the Vbox GUI, then starting the given OS
and then hiding the guest OS GUI & still have the guest running in the background ?
I have about 8 OS's installed thus far. fun stuff!
I two screens with a few PC's & Vbox is on a quadcore. runs great too!
I have gone over the docs, but cant seem to find what Iam looking for

Re: Hidding the Vbox Guest GUI
If you are not running in Fullscreen, you can minimise the guest VBox GUI window to the taskbar.
But when in Fullscreen mode, you can't do that.
KruFFT has requested that Fullscreen be minimisable also: http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=23876

Re: Hidding the Vbox Guest GUI
Yes, I have this well under control at this point.
I dont need to minimise Vbox, I want to close the GUI
& still have it running in the background!
I use remote software, I dont use the Vbox GUI but to start an OS!
Thanks your your reply

Re: Hidding the Vbox Guest GUI
Ah sorry, I misunderstood.
You can start a guest without using the GUI (and then access it with RDP software), by using the VBoxHeadless command (section 7.4.2 of the manual).
Perhaps create a shortcut with that command in it for each VM.

Re: Hidding the Vbox Guest GUI
If by "the guest GUI" you mean the VirtualBox.exe GUI from which you select the VM and access the settings, then yes you can minimize or close this once the VM is running. If you mean the VM's own display window then this can be minimized.CLUBTURBO wrote:Ok, Can I hide the Guest GUI when I dont need to see it ?
