I'm using VBox on a Windows Vista 64-bit host and Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit guest. Shared folders were working properly until I upgraded this morning to VBox 3.0.10.
Attempting to mount now results in the following error:
/sbin/mount.vboxsf: mounting failed with the error: No such file or directory
Anyone else have this trouble or know of a fix?

I noticed that the shares were missing in the guest settings area. Re-add them and it should work.
If you keep the same name you used to begin with the mappings will return in the guest without having to add them again.

Re: Shared Folders broken after upgrade to 3.0.10
Thanks for the reply, Perryg. The shares weren't missing in my case. However, I just restarted my Windows host and that seems to have solved the issue. Prior to restarting the Windows host, the directory where I mounted the share on Ubuntu was empty. After restarting Windows, the directory now shows everything mounted properly. Works for me.Perryg wrote:I noticed that the shares were missing in the guest settings area. Re-add them and it should work.
