USB subsystem broken after upgrade to 3.0.10

Post by rmorten »

Following a recent upgrade from 3.0.4 to 3.0.10 I seem to have lost access to USB devices. There were some other problems relative to some path changes but they have all been resolved.

When the guest is offline I attempt to make any change to the "Details" tab of the guest and the following dialob box appears:

Of course no USB devices appear when the "add" buttone is pressed and the generic filter doesn't pick up any USB devices as they are plugged in.

The host is XP and this happens on all the guests (which seems to indicate it has nothing to do with them). The guests are many different operating systems (Fedora, Redhat, XP, and W2K3 Server).

Any help will be appreciated.
It's the service that counts;

Make sure that you have version 54097 if not then you have a pre-release that got out by mistake. DL and upgrade.
If you do have the proper version then search bugtracker and add your name to the ticket. Be sure to include your log file and you will need to setup an account there as it is on a different system.

I make the same suggestion to you dmd. Search bugtracker for an issue that matches yours and put your name on the ticket as well.
Link is below my post and you will need to setup an account there as well because it is on a different system.
