After upgrading from 3.0.8 to 3.0.10 on Ubuntu Hardy (8.04 64bit) the same problem.

3.0.10 is not officially released and I've noticed quite a lot of problems with I/O APIC myself. Please stick to 3.0.8 until it's officially released.
