Domain not accessible
On the XP host machine, I am able to access a virtual server through our domain. No problems there. On the XP guest machine using vbox308, I can ping the virtual server but through windows explorer - my network places - I am unable to access the virtual server - actually our whole domain. I see the domain name but when I click on it I get the following error: "domain not accessible. blah blah no permission.. contact admin blah blah." On the host machine I can see all machines connected to the domain. I installed MS virtual machine 2007 and here I can access the domain. I have admin rights in both environments. Any thoughts why I can't see our domain through VBOX308?

Re: Domain not accessible
Do you have set the VM NIC to NAT or Bridged? NAT might give some issues with domains. Have you also tried accessing a share directly using the full UNC path instead of browsing it through My Network Locations?

Re: Domain not accessible
I am sure that with your domain you are probably using static IP's. With static IP's you will want to set up the Virtual Network Adapter to bridged mode using the host physical adapter. If you have several machines on the host that you are RDP into you will want to use a Gigabit connection (1000 mb/s). If you are using DHCP on your domain
another option may work, but bridged is your best bet. Depending on how many guests you have on the host your NIC may get overloaded.
