Virtual Machine Inaccessible due to drive letter change

Here's the problem, I just added a new HD to my computer. I already had 3...C: 500gb, D: 1tb, E: 1tb...and i added a 250gb. when i added the 250, instead of it becoming drive F, it became drive D and shoved my D and E drive up to E and F. ...in short, it changed the order of my drives.
But virtualbox is still looking in the original location for my virtual machines, so when I load the Sun VirtualBox Interface thing, it says "Virtual Machine Inaccessible". you'd think you could double click the Details location and change it, but it's not that simple. At first it looked like there was no way to change the location and tell Virtualbox that my virtual machines are on a different drive. but then i found in the preferences where you can choose a "Default Machine Folder". so i changed the default folder over to the new drive letter and hit OK, and...nothing. it is still looking for the machines on the old drive number...even though i changed the default folder.
my last resort is to change the drive letters (through windows) back to what they were....but shouldn't there be a way to do it in VirtualBox???
