ok so its completely screwed all the hell now, iam sorry i head hurts because all this madness thats happening to me, sorry i dont even know where to start does version 3.0.8 work with windows 7 yet maybe thats why?
please let me know, because it seems once the virtaulbox os freezes, it will make abstractions on my real os not respond also during this issue if i try to run vbox again it wont start up but i cant even endtask it in the task manager, or if i have another app running in the real os say like firefox it will lock up and i cant end task that either.....if i logoff then relogg on the stupid programs are still in task manager and wont go away!
so if i shutdown pc it gets stuck at the shutting down part of the screen where it says shutting down, so i need to powerr it off by the button on the pc itself!!! aahahahahahahhahahha this is a clean install free of virus so whats going here i really need some bodys help PLEASE!!!!!! my head hurts!!!!!!!!

Re: my virtual pc freezes, but vrbox gui doesnt?
@puppetj,
We are going to need a detailed description of what is happening along with the exact settings of the guest unless you are saying that you can not install VirtualBox itself.
If that is the case then you will need to see if Windows 7 is 32 or 64 bit and whether your bios supports hardware-v.
These are the things that vbox4me2 was referring to.
If it is the guest that is having problems then there are a few things that we will need. The vbox logs for the guest and you may need to look in the Windows 7 system events to see if it is stopping the program from working.

If that is the case then you will need to see if Windows 7 is 32 or 64 bit and whether your bios supports hardware-v. - yes they do support it, because it worked in VISTA, sorry but i said that already
i completely uninstall it so i dont have anymore logs, but on the other hand..which i dont know if this is related the virtual image is located on a drive that is failing which iam sending it to get rma'd, because to rule out thing i tried vmware software and got some simlar issues not all the same issues, but simlar so when i get the new drive and it still happens ill post back, but hopefully this is whats causing it
so thanks for trying to help, ill post back later
