Installing VirtualBox

Post by Stuartp77 »

I installed Windows XP in my MacBook using Boot Camp, but have to re-boot when I want to use it. I understand VB allows the easy switching from Mac to Windows without re-booting, so I downloaded it but can't make it work.

Does Windows have to be uninstalled and VB installed on that partition first, then Windows re-installed?

Help with this would be appreciated please.

VirtualBox gives you a computer inside your OS to work with. So you have to do the same with it as you would do with bootcamp, install an OS in it.

Thanks for help and suggestions - I have purchased VM Ware-Fusion now which seamlessly installed and Windows now appears in its own virtual partition.

Thanks again,

Why did you do that, when VB does the same?
