Hi,
I have a problem with Virtual Box.
I have installed Linux Fedora Core 11 on Virtual Box. My host OS is Windows 7 RTM. I use dial-up connection t o reach the net.
I have set up a Network Adapter in the Virtual Box Settings (NAT).
If I connect to internet and the start Virtual Box, then I am able to surf the net on my guest OS, but if I start Virtual Box first and the connect to internet, the guest OS is not able to reach the net.

Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

You mean there is no way to fix it?

By using a hardware router yes, by means of software, you'd need to build a router VM or use extensive 'route add' commands with Host only networking and sort of ICS on the Host. default vbox NAT has its limits.

When using NAT, VB will set some parameters for it at VM start. When no internet connection is available, those parameters will be empty or wrong and are not updated when you change them by starting your dial-up connection. Only a full VM power cycle will let it look at those parameters again and will work.
