Non Installation install
I am trying to figure out a way to be able to install VirtualBox onto USB jump drives that can then be used on any computer they are plugged into. However, the problem is there seems to be some drivers and services that get installed with the .msi files or the standard install. I was hoping someone could identify exactly the registry entries and the files that are getting installed so that I might try to make batch files to register the services manually rather than via this installation process. Any help would be great.
Re: Non Installation install
Not possible and not supported with the official VBox version.

Re: Non Installation install
I realize its not supported and if I wanted to be able to call tech support if I got into trouble, I wouldn't be talking about this. What I am trying to know, is precisely what goes on in the installation process, because, as you well know it can all be done manually if needed. In particular, I need to know if any dll's are getting put anywhere other than in the software installation directory (say like in %WINDIR%\system or %WINDIR%\system32) and what the actual service file is called that gets registered. This way I can change paths and create regsrv scripts manually.
Re: Non Installation install
There is a reason we don't support this way of working and why they have their own forum, ask there please, locked.
