Hi all,
Can anyone point a newbie to a step-by-step guide to hosting Win XP on Win XP?
I have Win XP Pro on my laptop and I have Virtualbox installed and working (have hosted ubuntu so far).
I have bought another copy of XP Pro to be my guest OS (so I can install some apps that I do not want to have installed in my host OS).
Can anyone help me get this working (i.e. how to do the windows install etc)?
Thanks!

Thanks for that Perryg. That was a great link you gave. I'm going to give it a go this morning!

Re: XP guest on XP host - problem installing
Hi again,
Before even creating my XP guest, I thought I would try to install the latest VirtualBox (3.0.8 ). However, I am using VirtualBox in "portable" mode so I had to go find a portable version of this. This is only an aside but I found it here URL removed by mod. While trying to install it I hit an issue in that the packaging has changed and needs to be unpacked by a starter. It just seems to hang so I am going to step back to the 3.0.6 version now.
back soon...
