D3D problem

Post by Anpu »

Hi all.
I tried to install one game (RF Online) on Virtual Box, but it displayed following message:
Image

Virtual Box 3.0.8 r53138 (PUEL->non repo package)
Guest OS: Win XP SP2
Main OS: Kubuntu 9.04
3d Acceleration Enabled in VBox
D3D installed in Safe mode etc :)

Anyone have idea what's wrong and how to fix it (if possible)?

Well, given that 3D is experimental and not all options are available for it. This is just one of them that won't work.

I assumed to, but wanted to check with others first. Thanks for fast response! :)
Btw, any idea when/if will it be implemented?

when the Wine3D project makes any progress. That's how VB gives you DirectX. OpenGL is already available, a lot of functions are native and DirectX is done by translating the calls to OpenGL ones.
