32 bit color display with 24 bit virtual screen

Post by haine_aime »

Hello
I use VirtualBox 3.0.8 on XP host to run fedora 12 i386.
When starting the guest I have the following message (translated from french) :
The window of the virtual machine is optimised for a processing of 32 bit color mode but the color mode of the virtual screen is 24 bit.
For an optimal graphic performance, configure the guest system to use a 32 bit color mode if possible.
How can I do this?
I don't see such an option while configuring the guest machine.

The host is EEE Top running XP SP3 on CPU N270 @ 1.60 GHz with 1GB RAM.
Graphic card is Mobile intel 945 express chipset family with resolution 1366x768 32bit.

thx a lot

This message can be ignored. You should however install the VBox Guest Additions to be able to improve your graphics.
