setting up network connections for virtualbox

Post by john119977 »

Here is my question I am not sure what ip address I should use in order to get internet on my guest operating system(windows 7).I have virtualbox installed on the windows vista laptop. What should the ip address for the virtualbox host only network adapter be on the host system and on the guest system what should I use for the ip address? Should I use Nat or Bridged? Any help would be appreciated.

You can do two things: Use NAT and set the Guest with DHCP, or use Bridged and treat the Guest like a separate machine on the wireless network.
